Will a NH 451 mower work on a Farmall H with a Saganaw 3 pt

Will a NH 451 mower work ok on a Farmall H with a Saganaw 3 pt hitch? I know how a NH 451 fits on a 3 pt. hitch with the top link. Will it be too light in front? Thanks.

I highly doubt a sickle mower would be heavy enough on the 3-point to make an H light in the front...

Heck, Allan in NE lifted his diesel pickup with the 3-point on his M and it didn't lift the front of the tractor!

The problem is gonna be if the hitch will go low enough.

Do you have the original hitch still on the tractor? If so, check your "lowered height".

That's the only thing I don't like about that Saginaw hitch. The original U-bar has to be chopped and narrowed for it to really work right.

John: As Allan put it, will hitch go low enough. Weight isn't going to be a problem, my next door neighbor mowed with a fully mounted 7' IH mower on a Super A for years. The NH might be a bit heavier, but not that great.

Lot of difference in an M and an H. My 350 is a bit light on the front end with a mounted fast hitch 100 series mower on it. It is even a bit heavier than my M, but in different places. The M sits on the ground a lot better. 350 works fine in most places, but I have a few hills here, and you can notice it back there when mowing up those.
