Trying to take off oil pan on a 1961 Farmall Cub. There are 3 oil pan bolts at the very back of the pan. Seems like the tractor has to be split for the bolts to come off.

Is there a way to take them off without spliting the Cub?

Looked at the related websites and can not find anything on this.

Thank you in advance for your assistance. David

You need to remove the cover plate first, obviously.

The three bolts are not easy to get to, but they can be removed if you use the right combination of socket and universal joint.

David, Go to Sears & get you a Craftsman flex socket,(socket with built in universal joint) These work a lot better than a regular univeral joint & socket. I can't remember what the size the oil pan bolts are. probably 1/4" or 5/16" so a 7/16" or 1/2" socket size is needed. Hope this helps you out. Dave F.
