LOOKING FOR SOMEONE IN THE RHODE ISLAND AREA TO INSTALL A NEW CLUTCH WITHOUT
SPLITTING THE THE TRACTOR , THEY SAY IT CAN BE DONE - I HAVE A 1949 FARMALL M,PLEASE GET BACK TO ME AS I WOULD LIKE TO GET IT DONE A.S.A.P. AND I"LL NEED A PRICE ALSO ...

The ease of doing this yourself is such that few would want to travel to do a simple job. A floor jack, a second set of hands for the pump, and basic tools are all that is needed. It can be a 4 hour job, but not more than 6 with basic skill.
Drain pump. Disconnect the pump control rod. Remove fittings for three hydraulic connections(elbows), and Cap Put jack under pump
Remove 4 bolts and lower pump.
Remove clutch shaft coupling (4 tapered bolts)
Loosen clutch cover and remove shaft.
Remove cover and clutch disk.
Replace parts (Springs go away from flywheel)
Put in pump, adjust clutch.
Pretty easy. JimN
