F-20 Primer cup question

The small pipe in the head that the primer cups attach to. Does anyone know if that is 1/8" pipe thread? One of mine is missing, and I picked 2 up today, and they are for an F-30. Too long in other words.

I was going to cut one down, but need to know what the threads are in the head? NPT or NC?

If I remember correctly from the last time I had 1 of the valve covers off 1 of my f20"s that should be 1/8 inch pipe thread for the primer cup"s.

Thanks Kirk, thats what I thought, but wanted to check. This is the first time I have had the valve cover off since I bought it, and low and behold, there was no primer pipe. I thought it was plugged off, but the hole was wide open.

Probably explains why I have been having trouble getting the mixture right with the carb.......been suckin' air.

Oh well, off to home depot or lowes to buy a 1/8" pipe die.

Well, got the primer cup tubes in place, and WOW!. What a difference in the old girl. Got the carb adjusted fairly close, and it is running much better.

I thought the carb was in need of rebuild, but it seems to be running much better now. I will still rebuild the carb, but that is lower down the list right now.
