766 throttle

just a quick question, Have a 766 in the shop with a throttle that won't stay open, the spring was missing down below, put a new one on and it's better, but not right. I can't see any friction disc device, but is there one, or what might the issue be ?, Thanks in advance.

Well on the 66 seires they really don't have a friction disc, it is more like a clapm that has one bolt and if ya look you will see what looks like a block with one bolt thrugh it and if my old foggy mind is wright i believe it is a 1/4 inch and ya need a 7/16th's socket and give it just a little and this should spot the creeping throttle.

I seen that, and did tighten it, but it did not help. I wonder if there is rubber in there that is worn out?
