I am in the process of re-assembling the 1939 M and I have put new studs and springs on the radiator. However, the radiator seems to lean toward the front at the top which leaves space between the grill and hood. I do not see where any support rods can be attached to the top of the radiator. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I have just used the top radiator hose as a way to adjust the distance between the hood and grill. Get the radiator where you want it and clamp the hose down so it will not move. I suggest you fit everything before you put fluid into the radiator, it saves much headaches. Good Luck.

If i remember correctly, there is a rod that goes from the radiator to the steering support bracket. I used a piece of allthread on my Super M

There should be a bracket at the top of the radiator for a rod to mount to. This rod reaches back to the steering shaft support casting and is adjusted at that end. Call Steel Wheel Ranch. Mike got me one for my Super M. Should be able to get the bracket if you're missing that also.

NO rod from steering support to rad on a 39 unless it has been changed. The rod came at about SN 24xxx or something like that. The 39 should have a U shaped bracket made of 1/4 x1 1/4 approx. flat iron that bolts to the rad on each side and to the front of the thermostat housing

Thanks for the information. There are two holes at the top of radiator and a place in the top inlet to the engine to put some type anchor bolt.
