Question for Rusty Farmall

Hi the casting /serial No on my M crank is 45571DC. What other casting No's can I use. Can I only use DC and DD or does it go on from there. Thanks again. MTF

The 45571DC is a part number. The DD suffix would be the same crank, but manufactured at a later date, and possibly with some changes, but should still interchange. Maybe someone with a bit more knowledge will jump in here, but I think they will pretty much all interchange up through the 400 or 450? I'm not positive though.

Here's the deal.
Farmall M cranks from 501 through will interchange clear through the 450.

Deal is 3 different size bearings.Farmall M 501 up to somewhere around 288.000,UNless x11 code on serial number all had same bearings,X11 on sn crank undersize from factory.

Now somewhere around 288.000 all late M,the SM,400,450 i believe use the same bearings.

So there you go the (MAIN) concern i have is knowing what engine/serial N/suffix code it come from. All cranks interchange but knowing what bearing to use.Hope this make since to you.

DC and lower are small journal cranks, DD and DE are large Journal cranks. As posted they will interchange if the correct bearings are used.
