THINKING ABOUT BUYING A SET OR ROLLER ROCKER ARMS FOR MY M FARMALL PULLING TRACTOR.NEED TO KNOW WHAT ADVANTAGES DOES THAT TYPE OF ROLLER ROCKER ARM SET UP HAVE ON THE ENGINE?THANKS

The advantages would be less friction and increased accuracy, but I doubt if you will notice any improvements unless the rest of the engine is highly modified and the RPMs are up there in the stratosphere. I could be wrong.

Correct on all points, Rusty. A better choice would be to change the ratio especially on the exhaust.

I will add that the side thrust on the valve butt is reduced and wiping friction. It will make less than one tenth HP difference. Rocker ratio (as pointed out) will substantially increase lift. (again not much at stock RPM/ settings) JimN
