At 1215:CDT My H came to life. Got that number 1 cyl to TDC compression, Refitted the dist back in there held my breath and hit the starter.
Fired off in about two revolutions. Throttle needed a tweak, low idle a tweak and it purred like a kitten and roared like a lion. Oil pressure at near 70. Checked top tank in radiator and warm water flowing in there rapidly.
No engine or fuel line leaks. Ammeter shows zero at off, minus at ignition on, and charging at high idle. Belt pulley turns when rod engaged. Lights work at dim and high
It's just amazing to me that after every component on this old girl was removed, rebuilt, and replaced that it could all come together.
Now the true test, getting it on the road.Need to get all the pedals and rods painted and installed. Missing the brace rod for the radiator. ANyone out there have one? It's an easy thing to make one up though.
One problem, the SMTA has it blocked in the shop, and I've got to get that running. I'll get a few photos up.
Thanks for all the help guys, couldn't have done it without you.

Oh Yeah, Mike. BTW this has "your" Porsche paint job. I'll bet I wet block sanded and primed each of the tin pieces at least 4 times. The surface was absolutely flawless. My paint job a little flawed but I'll wait to apply the decals until I do some wet color sanding with some 1200 grit. And then a litlle hi-speed polish.
