656 Hyd. Control Valve Repairable??

The bucket on the loader of my 656 settles fast. The hyd cylinders are not the problem. The oil is going thru the valve. Can the valves be rebuilt with new o rings and correct the problem? I know there is a check valve in the system also. One valve is ok and holds the bucket. The other valve will not hold. Thanks for any help.

The only O rings in these valves are on each end of the spool and on the unlatching piston. These only prevent external leaks. If the valve is leaking internally as you say, the only solution is to replace the valve $$$$$. Valve body and spool are amatched set. Sorry.

I agree with karl f. If it is leaking internally, it is at the end of its usable life. Adding an in-line check vlave on the lift side between the cylinder and valve it will hold and provide additional safety.

Thanks for the answers to my problem. I installed a Metro pilot control valve and the loader works perfect. It stays where you want it. thanks again.
