I have a 1957 Farmall 350 diesel that I think is taking in air somewhere in the fuel system because it is popping on one cylinder. Does anyone know what may be causing this?

Before you do anything else, dump a bottle of valve lubricant/injector cleaner in your tank to see if that helps. There are a zillion brand names for it (I use ValveEase). Its been over a year since I needed to use the stuff in any of my tractors, but whenever they start smoking or knocking more than usual, I dump it in and the problem clears up pretty quick.

Find the miss by cracking the injector line with a wrench to caus that cyl to mis. Do them one at a time till the mis shows up.
Swap injectors to a different cyl. to see if it follows the injector. If it does, get it rebuilt, or a new one.
If it doesn't, a compression check is needed. JimN
