Picked up An OS6 serial #BK13166. Would like to know the year and also the correct decals on the side and badge on the front. Was also told some said grove or orchard under the side emblems. Any help would be appreciated.

Your O6 is a 1945 model which would mean that the nose badge should be "McCORMICK DEERING.

IHC never did make a tractor badged "Grove" they were all "Orchard" models.

John, I was referring to the decal on the side of the tractor hood. Should it read McCormick Deering also. Underneath of this decal I have seen a Grove or orchard decal placed. Any ideas

Get a copy of Guy Fay's Letter Series book. He says that the Orchard or Grove was specified by the buyer, so there apparantly was not any pattern or serial break. Serial prefix should be OBKS. 13166 means it is a 1945. Grille should say McCormick Deering. Only 831 made.

Deering was dropped in 1949, so both are McCormick Deering. I believe that there is an IH in front of the McCormick, as the change occurred in 1945, so I am told. I have seen pictures, perhaps in one of Guy Fay's books, with Orchard and Grove, but I have never seen the tractor.

Maple Hunter will have the decals, hopefully someone will have a phone number as they don't have a web site (last time I looked). Grill emblem should be the same as the W6. Try www.oemtractorparts.com, Steiners, maybe this site, or anyone who sells parts.
