I bought new valves from rice equ.a couple years ago,My machinest is doing the head now and he called me and said the keepers will fit the exhaust valves and not the intakes,Gordon is on vacation,has any one had the same problem.

Yes, i have run into that. Have had some new old stock valves from different manufacturers that used square cut and three notch keepers. Have had to find some now and then, sometimes buying parts tractors. I think 22-36 is the same stem size, for example.

That engine is one of the few IHC engines in which the intake and exhaust valves are different. Have your mechanic double-check his installation of valves and keepers.
