1 pt fast hitch implements

I have access to a selection of 1 pt fast hitch implements - a disker, a one bottom plow, a spring tine cultivator, a rear blade, and a Howard Rotovator. I think that's it, but there may be others in the back of the shed.

These seem to be a useful size for our small Kubota with a 3 point. Can we get a converter to allow us to use them? Would that be nuts? Are there people still interested in these type of implements (in Manitoba - not sure what it would take to ship them). If so, what might they be worth?

They're quite valuable, especially the disk and the rotovator, the plow too if it has the coulter.

I'm sure you could fabricate some sort of adapter for the "drag" type implements, but the rotovator will be a problem. 1pt fast hitch implements are meant for the offset tractors, either Cub or Super A/100/130/140. The Cub PTO is high and offset to the left, plus it has an odd 10-spline shaft, spins at engine speed, and rotates backwards compared to the industry standard 6-spline 540 RPM PTO.

Whatever you do, DO NOT cut up that rotovator in any way. That's a very rare and valuable implement. If you've got the reduction drives for the tractor and all the parts, it's hugely valuable.

Put those on ebay and take the money and buy some implements that fit your 3 point. Those fast hitch implements will bring good money.

Patrick: I have 15 different one point fast hitch implements, some of them IH originals, some of the 3 point conversions and some of them fabricated from the ground up. It took me close to 40 years to find all these implements or the parts to build them. Today, starting from scratch it will cost on average $100. more to build a one point fast hitch implement than the same in three point hitch.

Most folks under rate the value of these until they start looking. I've bought offset tractors just to acquire a certain implement. i've owned 6 of them lifetime. I've driven thousands of miles looking for this equipment. Today I have a SA, 130 and 140, 15 fast hitch implements and others like cultivators, snow blade, belly mower, etc. Someone once asked me how much I have invested. If I count my driving, my fabrications, cash outlay excluding wear parts it tops $45,000.

If you can, buy these, don't give them away. they are far more valuable than most folks realize. Sure, every offset had 1 to 3 popular implements, but not many had 4 or more. I'm betting they are all scarce in Manitoba. In fact the only hot bed in Canada is SW ON.

Haul it all up to Red Power Round Up next year and you can buy all new 3 point stuff and pay for the gas too.

Forget the Kubota. Find yourself a SA or 100,130 or 140. Fix"er up, hook em up, and you"ll have a blast!
