HI, I BOUGHT A CUB AND STARTED MOUNTING THE SICKLE MOWER ON IT AND I THINK I AM MISSING A COUPLE DRAG RODS THAT CONNECT FROM THE MOWER TO THE CUB AND HAVE A LIFT MECHINISM BUT NOT SURE WHERE THAT MOUNTS . I HAVE IT HOOKED UP TO THE BELLY OF THE TRACTOR WITH THE TWO BOLTS AND THEN BOLTED THE PTO SHAFT TO THE PLANITARY. DOES ANYONE KNOW OF A SIGHT TO SEE A DIAGRAM OF ONE THAT IS MOUNTED ON ?THANKS

Tim : The lift mechanism mounts on the left side of the tractor, with a lever to raise and lower, because IH designed them to be used on several types of implements and on several models of IH tractors, you'll probably have to go to a tractor yard or maybe tractor supply to find the missing pieces...seems most farmers left the lift unit on their tractor all the time to use on various implements...so the parts are kinda hard to find !
Good LUck !!

I assume you are working on a Cub-22 mower. It is VERY specific to the Cub. You need to get the Owner's Manual and follow the instructions. It needs to be mounted and adjusted correctly to work well. You can see good pictures of one here:

Does anyone know if the sickle will operate in a vertical position? I want to be albe to go down the fence line on my driveway cutting blackberry bushes.

Thanks
