I asked yesterday and was given some help, but I didn't make myself real clear, so I'll try again. This light bulb is for a taillight on a 1957 cub lowboy. The six volt one is ST51. I need to replace it with a twelve volt bulb, but haven't been able to find one. Thanks for all help. Pastor Ray

Pastor - The #53 bulb is a direct 12 volt replacement for the #51 6 volt tail light bulb. Any parts store will have 'em; so will Radio Shack.

Yup - #1156 is the 12 volt replacement for the white rear worklight.

(#53 is for the little red tail light...or the red "jewel" lamp inside the clear rear worklight...)

I think the #1156 is a low candle power turn signal/park light bulb for automotive use. It is not a headlight bulb, which is what is needed for the rear worklight. The #1156 will fit and work, but it won't make a very bright light.

I just looked it up in my parts book. The #1133 is the six volt headlight bulb. The #1143 is for 12 volts. Both are available. Try a Case-IH or John Deere dealer if you strike out at the auto parts stores.

Good catch Rusty! The #1156 is available anywhere and is fine for show, parade, etc. use. The #1143 will throw more light but can be hard to find.

Pastor Ray, I have found a source for the correct #1143 bulb and have ordered a quantity of them. They will soon be available on my website.
