Spark Plugs for 1948 Cub

Can anyone tell me what spark plugs I should put in my Cub? And what gap? Oh yea, do the regular Parts Houses carry them?

Thanks as always.

Champion D-15's or equivalent for working tractors. D-21's or equivalent for non-working tractors. Gap is .023" to .025". Plugs are available nearly anywhere.

Unless the engine is in very good shape, the D-15 plugs will foul pretty quick unless you are working the tractor very hard. I think the D-21 plugs are the best choice.

I have a 1948 Cub with a Woods 59 Inch Belly Mower which I mow with every week for 4 or 5 hours steady. (I mow several Acres) I have Champion D-18Y spark plugs in it and it runs great and the spark plugs last for years without fouling or burning up. I buy them at the local Blains Farm & Fleet store......Gale
