how to clean old diesel fuel out of plugged MD lines

I just acquired an MD with very old diesel fuel in the tank, lines, and filters. What is the best way to remove the algae from the system without damaging too many of the components. I have been told to use Lucas Valve treatment and Power Service Diesel additive. Obviously new filters are on the way but how can I flush the lines and filter base free of the old diesel. Will gasoline work or is there something that will work better? Thanks

Why don"t you just remove the lies, their arn"t that many and blow them out with carb cleaner etc? You only have the line from the tank and the four injector lines. All of which are removed quite easily. Then run some power service through it and change the filter s often forea while to remove any excess. I wouldn"t run 100 biodiesel through it. Something that old and with the seals in the pump will not withstand b100.
