International 400 Alternator Conversion

Has anyone ever changed from a generator to an alternator on an International 400? If so how big of an alt. would fit under the hood, or what one did you use? Also could you use the same bracket as the gen.?

You would run the wire coming from the alt. to the starter switch correct, NOT the starter? And on the side of the switch before the starter?
