The temp gauge in my 706 gas wasn't working so I hooked up a aftermarket automotive gauge. When warmed up, it seems to set just under the 190 degrees F mark. I went thru both my manuals and can't find any recommended opeating temp, and no comparison to what temps the "C" and "H" in the old gauge calibrated to. Is 190 a good number? Reason I ask is it doesn't seem to use coolant, but when I flushed it after putting in the gauge sender, it will puke it out if filled any more than an half inch or so over the fins. Otherwise, no issues.
