Hi Guys...Well, got a good deal on a big round bailer..but it has hyd. tie, which needs the xtra set of hyd.couplers.Does the 706 have other places to tap off from? I see there is a 500.oo valve to do this...Wow 500 bucks!! I guess I could disconnect the hyd tie, and do it by hand! Thanks for the help. Bobmn

Your 706 doesn't have the cultivator outlets on the side of the tractor and two hyd. levers on the right side of the seat????? Most of them around here do. If it does you just run a pair of hoses to the back (one hose the raise and one hose the lower).

Just don't think the electric splitter is going to be too handy with a baler.

I use 'em on the loaders and they really work slick. However, on a baler, if ya make a mistake and hit the wrong button, yer goin' to have a mess.

It's gonna cost ya that $500 to get it going, no matter what you do. I'd be for finding another set of remotes out of a salvage yard or use a different tractor.

Guys; This 706 has the BIG lever to raise and lower the hyd. Most 706's around here had the single hyd. Allen...Mon I'll be calling around to ck the yards. Oh, about using a differant tractor, We have a MM706 with duel hyd, lots of power, but with the frt wheel drive, you need 42, not 40 acres to turn around!! Does the Tractor Vet have any ideas? Thanks Bobmn

i have a hyd multiplier on my 826 that i bale with. i have the tie side on the regular lever, the open door hoses on the button side. it works ok- the worst that happens is sometimes i start to tie again if i don't hit the button fast enough when i want to dump the bale, so it uses a little more string. the multiplier isn't cheap but it was a quick addition when i got it 10 years ago. another way to deal with it would be to mount a double valve on the fender and run it off the single 706 remote. thats the way my 1206 was set up when i bought it. make sure it is an open center valve if you do it that way.

The only way out here is either use one of them splitters or add the second valve. My 806 has dual remotes but the 706 only has one and we need to change it to duals.and also the 1066 . or just get one of them brand new tractors that has it all .

we have an 806 that we spray with. need 4 sets of remotes for sprayer. solution= 4 spool valve bank mounted within reach, powered by rear remotes, bungee the lever in raise position. just got to make sure it's open center on an open center tractor.

I bought a 2 spool valve on sale at John Deere dealer. (less than $200) bolted it to the fender. I like it better than the Original.

Here's another idea:

Get a two-spool, open center, generic hydraulic valve. Surpluscenter dot com is a good source for a reasonable price, less than $200 if you're careful.

Mount the two-spool valve on the fender, run hoses from the 706's one valve to this new valve bank, and tie the hydraulic lever on the 706 back with a piece of baler twine.
