New Cub owner, and tons of questions

Friends I could use some help with my new 1948 Cub. Do I ever have to add steering box oil, and if so what kind do I use?
What spark plugs shoujld I use? And what is the correct gap?
Where can I buy new distruitor cab and wires from?
Does it make sense to rebuild the carb or buy a new one?
Thanks so much for any all help. I am really excited about my Cub, and really don't have an idea where to start.

The Archives on this site right here can probably answer a lot of your questions. Most folks say "get a book" about your tractor right away (like owner's manual). Binder books can send you manuals & this site has them also, I believe. Hope you have great times with the Cub.

Tom, in all likelihood, you will need to add fluids to all the gearboxes and reservoirs at some point. The tractor is 60 years old and the seals probably leak a little.

In fact, a complete fluids change is probably the first thing you should do.

The engine takes SAE30 engine oil.
The hydraulics take CaseIH HyTran.
The gearboxes take gear lube.

The first thing you should do is get an owner's manual, though. It shows how to use the tractor, how to maintain it, and how much oil goes where.
