on a recently acquired super C, there is a cyclone shaped device screwed into the intake manifold at the pipe thread port near the carb flange. what kind of widget is it?

Our H has a milking machine "valve" threaded into the manifold in this area. Probably in cold weather, the farmer had to do feeding anyway, & saved starting the vacuum pump. Just my guess.

good guess, but I know it isnt a milker petcock.
