Anyone have a source for rubber backed flat washers? I really don't want to burr that new paint when installing the grills with the hex head bolts.
Or some sort of poly/urethane washers?
Maybe 5/16 cadmium flat washers drilled out to 3/8ths?

Gordo: There is a product out there - usually bottle in a brush type application. Some call it liquid rubber; some call it black neoprene dip; some call it rubber insulation.
Anyway, when you find it, paint about two coats on the back side of your grill washers and let it dry. Then, go ahead with your installation...

Menards, Home Depot and others sell Liquid Tape, used for electrical work, comes in colors (red) too. Has a powerful smell and is very sticky, don't get it on your fingers.

Gordo, talk to the guys at Palace Builders, they probably have a bucket full of rubber backed washers that they use to bolt bins together with. I'll bet they will work. (My $0.02 worth. jal-SD)

I don't remember where I found them, but I used plastic washers like small oil drain plug gaskits.

Any company that erects grain bins should have those, or someone that builds steel buildings. I had a bucket full at one time. I think I've used every one of them.
