W-6 woe's?

On this w-6 standard, i found out the gear in the front of the engine that runs the hyd pump is broke,
and I ve gotta get the front off the engine,
is this a pain to do or is it not that bad?
Im resisting doing it as i have basic tools but not a shop to get it done right,
please help ok,

Youre going to have to at a minumum jack up the front of the engine, and all that involves, to get the crank pulley off, and the front motor mount is attached to the front cover.(Unless yours is the channel frame, in which case Im not sure if its built like an M up there or not, as Ive never worked on a channel frame -6 before.

hi john,
yea its the cast half round frame, not the channel type as on M,s and H,s
i think ill have to jack it up then i can get to it better and i think if i can get into it i can get it off and replace the front gear case and the idler gar that runs the hyd pump,
so i think if i have the right tools
i can get it done without too much problem,
