After 6 months of tinkering, finally finished up the Super C OH last night. Got 'er all put back together, pulled on the starter rod and.....nothing. Then I remembered I didn't set the tappet gap. Did that quick and after about 2 cranks she hit right off. Great oil pressure, no smoke, warmed up nice and ran flawlessly for about 45 min. Guess I better hit the photo adds. I'm thinking Super A, or maybe stage 2 Super H, ooooh, a 450 D will be a great challenge, but an F14 or 30 would be neat too. Decisions, decisions...
 
Hey, you got me thinkin! Maybe an H with a 460 motor????? Would she still be light enough to get in the 4500 class?
 
Bob, it just so happens there's a rusty F-14 with Christmas lights on it sitting in a front yard not 1/5 of a mile from where I'm sitting. The fellow wants $400 for it, you might could get it for less. (I thought about getting it myself, but I'm not set up for such a project yet.) It looks complete, but I'm not sure what is still good on the ol' girl. I do know the rear rims have rust holes, probably from sitting on the ground. I'll go take a harder look at it if you or anyone else is interested, but it would definitely be a long-term project.

If you end up restoring the 450D, i recently saved one from from scrap that was pretty much still complete. I bought for a few parts for my other 450 D and for guys out there that may need some parts. If you need anything, let me know, ill sell it to you real reasonable if i dont need the part. Thanks, andy
