Super FC Bulbs

My 1953 Super FC is a bit tired looking but running fairly well, so I thought that I would start on some of the 'little jobs' lights not working etc. I found that someone had cut the wires to the headlights and so I dismantled them. What do I find? two perfectly good and working 6v bulbs date stamped 1953. I wonder if they really do make em like that now. Course I dont know how long the wires have been cut. MTF

Hi Hal, Thats brilliant. I never went Khaki until 1958 but 1953 was obviously a very good year. Congrats MTF

Hal, I must admit that I've had two wives and both turned out to be lemons. I guess that's part of the reason I love my "new" Super A so much: (1) I knew when I met her that she's not perfect, so I don't expect her to be, (2) I don't expect her to do all the work around the house (literally "around") without my help, (3) she's content to stay home and will never complain that I don't take her anywhere (although I may, when she's ready), and (4) I know she'll never lie to me or run off. On top of that, I'll buy her new things now and then to dress her up, make sure she has the cosmetics (paint, wax, etc.) to look good for me and the check-ups to stay healthy, and I won't make her work too hard and wear her out. It's a shame that I didn't realize until so late in life what a perfect relationship was all about!
