overheating super h

started brushhoging and 30 mins later she started to overheat, drained the coolant and refill, run but still got hot noticed it bubble every little bit.no thermostate eitherheadgasket or what thanks

Check you oil for water. I.E. pull the drain plug just enough to get a few drops of oil you hope but if water yep head gasket or worse. Now if you find no water I would drain it fill it with vinegar and run it till good and warm. Let cool to the point its safe and then flush with water and try it again after you fill it back up

You've probably plugged up the radiator with weed seeds, etc. Any Cottonwood trees in your area? Those trees are dropping seeds quite heavily this year, and that cottonwood fluff will plug up a radiator quicker than anything else I've seen.

Steve,I have a Ferg.TO30 I bushhog with and if I get a couple hours with it Im lucky,The radiator clogs up pretty guick

Steve,

I had an overheating problem with the H, and I knew the radiator was clean. I found the water baffle plate on the left side of the engine block was seriously corroded internally. This plate has a formed sheet metal passageway to direct the water from the water pump to the back 2 cylinders of the block. When rust destroys the water channel, the back cylinders overheat. Once I took the plate off, I was amazed at the amount of rust and crap that was built up around the cylinder jugs. I took the pressure washer to the mess, put a new baffle plate on and have no problem since. The plate was available from CNH and OEM, and maybe from this site.

Easy fix!!
