Farmall c smoke

I have a farmall c, and every time i start it, a puff of blue smoke comes out.Is this normal, or something to worry about? It only does it when starting. Thanks George

Pretty normal on these old machines. Shoot my 1980 Chev pick up does that when I start it. Just look at it this way it never starts with dry cylinders because a little oil seeps but the valve guide when its sitting

That is it - a litle leakage at the valve guides and won't hurt a thing. just keep the oil checked and add as necessaary.

It can be permanently fixed by doing a valve job and having new guides installed, but hardly worth it unless you are doing an overhaul anyway.

I've got a Super A that does the exact same thing. I never even have to add a drop of oil in a year's time. Keeps great oil pressure, too. I ain't worried about it at all.....
