F14 PTO Seal

the pto seal on my F14 leaks. can anyone tell me what is supposed to be there, and how it comes apart.

i took the big nut off and can see what looks like a felt seal behind it. is that the only seal there, or is there an actual seal behind that?

The big nut is used to hold a rope seal in place. The rope seal is still availible through places like Rice Equipment and the Forsdon House, and possibly this site as well.

The seal is wrapped around the PTO shaft and than you tighten the nut to hold the rope seal in. At least thats what I recall off the top of my head. Im sure others will jump in if I made a mistake.
