Front Crankshaft Seal on 966

I need to replace the front crankshaft seal. How difficult is this to do? Any tips?

You need to get yourself a good shop manual that covers your tractor. It should give you the step by step for replacing that seal. Your're probably going to need to remove the whole front end off that tractor just to gain access to the
damper pulley. You will need to support the weight of the tractor since the front wheels will probably need to be removed. That seal has probably worn a groove into the hub on the damper
pulley and will need a speedi-sleeve to cover that area so the new seal has a new surface to contact. Hal.

That job can be done with out removing the ft. off the tractor , ya just need the puller to remove the damper . While ya have the damper off make sure that the mounting rubber is not bad and that it is not loose.
