SC hydraulic pump

I am stuck guys. How do I figure out which hydraulic pump I have on my SC? I have hydraulic oil in my crank case, and need to get seals for the pump. Thanks Ron

The parts manual has pump numbers and the pump itself has corresponding numbers stamped on it -- they are in the parts manual or www.caseih.com. I believe yours has an o-ring, which is generic and available at NAPA, or better, a bearing/seal business. CaseIH likely has it in stock. If the shaft itself has a deep enough groove in it, you will need a speedi- or redi-sleeve. This requires enlarging the hole the pump shaft goes through. Best to have that done at a machine shop, which can also supply the seal and sleeve. It is a simple repair.

The pump I have does not look like the drawings. The numbers on mine read. 2-80T50 here is a couple of pictures of the pump and the drawings from Case IH. The top on mine doesn’t look like the drawing to me. It showes the hole for the spring a ball and screw. I don't see that in the pic. Thanks Ron

Just now saw your post, I prefer the classic version of this site because I have been on here for 9 years and am used to it. I usually only read this at night, thus the 24 hour delay between posts. You need to take the pump off and look at the seal, if an o-ring there should be no problem. If a seal, it can be crossed to whatever the bearing place has. If you take it apart and can get the seal from CaseIH, I believe you will find the part number the same as is in the website, if not the correct part number will be on the dealers computer. I don't see much difference between your pump and the diagrams. Also, after you remove the pump, you may (or may not) find other numbers. Anyway disassemble the pump and find out what you need and take it from there.

Thanks everyone.
Several friends of mine are all taking their "working clothes tractors" through the 4 of July parade. I am going to take my SC and my A. I will be doing the hydro pump project after the 4th. Ron
