double bevels on an m

I want to put a set of 15.5x38 tires on an m that are mounted on a set of double bevels. Can I just use the blocks and bolts from the 400 on the m. Or do I have to change the cast center. I would rather not changed the center.

Nope, you need to change the centers. A double bevel rim uses different clamps than the single drop rims on an M. I believe the cast center pieces are different diameters to accomodate the larger single drop one the M rims.

I believe that is correct. The double bevel rims will not interchange with the single hump rims.

Yes you will need to change the centers as Bob &Rusty said.I have 7 M's & three of them have 400-560 centers.I'm guessing since most M's &H's [early one's] came out on steel or 36inch tires IH started using the drop center rim so you did'nt have to change the center's when you went to 38" tires. Just my thought I may be wrong an would'nt be the first time.Good luck Wildman.
