Why is my 484 fuel filter different from other 484s?

My IH 484 has fuel filters with glass bowls under them. All other 484s have canister type filters. Why is mine the only one around with these glass bowls?

Here is a picture of it, anyone see this before?

Hi Micheal, if you look at caseih.com parts and look under European 484 there is a note for this type of fuel filter(up to 376419). I actually prefer the this CAV type filter as compared to the Bosch canister type. The only reason being is that the CAV type is available from many sources and cheaper. CAV is used by MF and all the Perkins Diesel and I believe JD use the same CAV filter. My brother"s 454 have canister type, his 495,684 and 3230 all have the CAV type.
