All Dressed Up, Nowhere To Go

Wish the darned weather would settle out a little. No window for haying until late next week, looks like. :>(

Got up and out at 5am, had the duals off and the baler oiled/greased by 8.

Darned alfalfa is really starting to turn blue now; needs to be on the ground, but no sense cutting if it's gonna rain on it, I guess. :>(

No rain here for a couple weeks now, and no rain in sight. We're going to start cutting next week before it goes backwards. Some of the alfalfa probably won't even bloom, leaves at the bottom are brown and falling off.

And the grass? What grass? Got about six inches tall and headed out, real thin and starting to dry up as well.

The wheat is holding on for now, but won't last too much longer without rain.

Good luck with your haying!

It was an accident, yer honor.

Went to town and bought new rims and tires for the M. When I got home, I find out that I've got one tire size too darned big.

So, the 966 got the new set and the M got the 966's old front tires and wheels. :>)

It looks good with yellow. We could use some of your rain and you could use our sunshine. Been a weird spring. Hal

We have storms listed for every day but tues. in the next seven . I got hooked to the haybine and greesed up then thought I better check the forcast one more time . Just had about a inch dumped on us about a hour ago , but like you I`m fueled up and ready to go . Just glad I`ve got done what I did , been this way all spring .

This was my "Keep me from going nuts during the winter" project.

I got it from our friend "Damp;DSevice" up north. Just a good, straight ol' M in that all it needed was a brake job and a drawbar.

I then added the pre-cleaner, battery lid, swapped the front end, added dedicated power steering, brake lock, live hydraulics, 3-point hitch, remotes, forward step and the seat.

Everything was a bolt-on deal and it just helped make the winter go a bit faster.
