In the beginning of darkness on my way home from work I thought I saw a very stout looking tractor. It was in a yard for sale. My first thought was it was a W-6. It has a loader on it. As I drove by it looked like it said W 400. I never heard of them. looks like a big tractor. Has anyone had any experience with one? Are there many around?

W tractors are very popular here in central Ontario Canada from what I see. I've only seen One W400 that was bought by a fellow looking for a SuperW6 if that tells you anything. At 38 years old ,growing up on a farm ,I have only seen Farmalls in the last 7 years at the tractor pulls. Never used for working, Only W series :) . Maybe we had to many hills for the Farmalls??

I have a W400 and a W400D, and you're right, they're stout. Less than 3000 were made. They are the next generation after the SW6, and are the standard or wheatland version of the Farmall 400.
