sickel sharpener for cub

What type of a sharperner could I use on a Farmall Cub sickel? I have been looking on ebay, but haven't seen any 2 the same. Where can I buy parts for a sickel mower? Thanks for any reply!

AFAIK, IH used the same sections in the knife for the Cub sickle mower as they did on all their other sickle mowers. So that would mean that the grinding angle for the sections would be the same.

Grand-dad used a commercially-built sickle bar grinder to sharpen sickel mower knives. The grinder had an angle-iron frame, and clamped the knife so that it held its position while a 110V electric motor drove a special grinding wheel with a V-shaped bevel to the grinding edge. The grinding wheel was suspended from a spring. So you ground one surface of two adjacent sections at a time.

And that's the only kind of sickle sharpener I ever saw at my family's IH farm equipment shop. In fact, if I'm not mistaken, the sickle grinder's still there today, but I'm not sure if it still works.

They're definitely standard sections. I replaced all mine last summer with plain old overserrated sections from Tractor Supply.
