our 1086 was making a knocking sound in the rear but before we could fix it, it stopped and we lost all hydualics including steering, pto, clutch, brakes, and implements. how do i get to the pump to check it out? is there anything else that you think may have broken to cause this?

does the pto work? if not it is the drive hub at your clutch.
if it still works then the teeth on the pump are gone. it is located on the back of the valve body that has the trans oil filter on it

Hello Adam,
If you lost everything that listed the only thing it could be is the IPTO shaft, there are two pumps and the PTO that runs off that shaft. it is pretty common for the IPTO shaft to strip out at the clutch. I not sure why you heard a noise in the rear end. The first thing I would do is pull the hyd filter and look for metal or drain some oil out of the trans. if it is clean then i would split the tractor and look at the clutch. I would also recommend that you get an IT manual it makes working on these tractors much simpler.

well i'll check the filter i dont think we will split the tractor if thats what it was cause this tractor isnt worth the repair cost when fixed. it ran strong but it has a lot of hours so if that is the case the poor old girl is gone.

Hey Adam,
where are you located I can fix that tractor for you. or maybe I can buy it from you, I have a customer looking for a 1086.
