i posted a picture over in help id. this is the way it was, but ive seen picture where lower termanol goes to dash if you can help thanks

The number of wires up to the dash depends on if its a 3 or 4 terminal Volatge Regulator orrrrrrrr a two wire Cutout Relay.
VOLTAGE REGULATOR
If a tractor has a 4 terminal (BAT ARM FLD LOAD) Voltage Regulator, there are TWO wires up to the dash.
1) L terminal feeds hot battery voltage to the lights/ignition input terminal.
2) BAT terminal wires to the Load (NOT battery/starter) side of ammeter
If a tractor only has a 3 terminal (BAT ARM FLD) VR, theres only one wire up to dash
1) BAT terminal wires up to the Load (NOT battery/starter) side of ammeter
On many 4 terminal VR's the terminal on the bottom or off on one side by itself is the ARM terminal.
BAT on VR to ammeters Load terminal
FLD on VR to gennys FLD post
ARM/GEN on VR to gennys ARM post
L on VR (if a 4 terminal) wires to
lights/ignition switches input
CUTOUT RELAY (2 wires up to dash area)
BAT side of Relay wires to Load (NOT battery/starter) side of ammeter. Relays other GEN/ARM terminal wires to Gennys ARM post
Gennys FLD post wires up to the LHBD light switch

Presuming that’s a cutout (not a voltage regulator…) perched atop your generator it should be wired up like this:
- Generator A terminal to cutout GEN terminal.
- Generator F terminal to the field resistor terminal on the light switch.
- Cutout BAT terminal to ammeter.
If the cutout has an F (or FLD) terminal nothing gets connected to it.
- Generator A terminal to cutout GEN terminal.
- Generator F terminal to the field resistor terminal on the light switch.
- Cutout BAT terminal to ammeter.
If the cutout has an F (or FLD) terminal nothing gets connected to it.

Sure glad i dont wire mine your way as you forgot the wire going from Field on GEN to the Field on the reg or the Cut-out.
