F20 clutch fixed Radiator ht on top cold on bottom

I got all the mice stuff out and adjusted the clutch. After lifting bell housing up 15 times to align shaft I found that if you keep the clutch loose and spin housing around you can align the shaft and tighten clutch bolts thru inspection plate. Tractor moves great but governor is not working and the radiator is very hot on top but warm on bottom. I did flush the mice nests out before adding antifreeze. How do I fix governor and throttle speed? Thanks, Bill

The radiator on a thermosyphon cooled engine does that. The difference in hot water rising and cool water settling is what makes it flow. Just be sure it is flowing and the top inlet must be under water for it to work. If it had a water pump it would be warm at the bottom.

With a thermo-siphon system you must mix the water and anti-freeze together before adding it to the radiator, otherwise if you put the anti freeze in first you will cause a block, not allowing the anti-freeze and water to circulate.
good luck!

I got to thinking about the governor problem and for the life of me I can"t remember if the F20s have a round pot metal tube that comes off the gov housing on the right side. the tube is round on the side that "dosen"t go anywhere". When I did my 10-20 the gov acted up and was either full on or idling. There is a spring inside that tube and I loosened the screws and turned the tube a few turns and it started working right and worked like it should. You might give that a try if the tube is there. I know regulars have it but just not sure on the F-20.
