Just got home from the Red Power round up. Dang what a show!!!

About $250 poorer, but I have a good oil pan for my super H, a center hood section for the 706D, screen for the inside of the grill of the Super H, and finally an original Super H parts book.

Plus worked at the Kids pedal pull both days and met some new friends.

Overall, It dont get much better than this!

Safe trip home everyone.

Gene, Did you take any photo's of the sled or the tractors. I built a sled and 2 tractors and just wondering what they are supposed to look like. Clem S

I came home with an SMTA battery box, new and painted for $90.00! Also, Jeff of Miller Tire out of Ohio delivered 8 truck tires/tubes and 2 three rib front tractor tires/tubes. Think I,m not happy? Well, just wait until I win that raffle tractor, both of them.

(quoted from post at 19:13:29 06/14/08) About how many tractor/engine vendors were there?
The correct answer is: "Many, many".
I'd say about 35 parts guys outside and another 10-12 inside. Not a bad head-count when you consider all were selling only IH parts.
Then, there was the "for sale" corral.....

(quoted from post at 13:32:30 06/24/08) I was wondering if might know where I could find a hood and grill for a 1953 Super H. Thank you for your time!
Actually, I see more hoods for H's on ebay than anywhere else. You need the late H hood with only one grease hole down the center and they came on late H's as well as Super H's; still not too difficult to find.
As far as the grill - if you have a very late 1953 SH, like mine, then it is a stage II and takes the grill with the extra two large holes in it. That can be tough to find. And expensive. If you have a stage I SH, the grill is the same as most any H grill and is fairly easy to find on ebay, at tractor shows, or in the classified ads here on the YT site. Good luck. mike
