I know of a skelleton of a supposed M d Super maybee with a ta. Here comes the discription. The plate on bell housing is rivited on and only has letters and numbers stamped on it. No printing. There is a letter D stamped in the plate all by itself. Then below the D there is the number 6925 followed by the letter S. From my reading It appears there should be another digit in the serial number??? There is a 4 and three quarter inch space between the steering column post and the fuel tank. It is a diesel that starts on gas. It appears to have a ta. I say this because it has a lever like a emergency brake on the left side and its linkeage is interconnected with the clutch pedal linkeagw and it has a shaft connected to it that goes into the bell housing area. It also has a live hyd pump in front of the distribuiter. The hood was not available when the tractor was bought. I hope this is enough info to go on. Thank you.

Is the fuel tank bullet shaped like an H or M tank? If so, that sounds like an SMTAD, or at least a tractor that has the features of an SMTAD.

If it's a skeleton, the paint has probably weathered off the tag, and for some reason, numbers can get worn off. You can't read the last digit on my Super A's tag without a VERY bright light...

Sounds like a SMDTA to me. Some pictures would prove it. I would hate to be replying to that stupid SMDTA lurker.
BTW, John is right about the casting codes. Also, is it possible that my SMTA is a Louisville? There are Z's all over the place. (Sorry for the hijack)
