I Just replaced Carb with New Zenith right out of box. Tractor started great and idled like never before. Mowed for a while then tractor started to sputter and die. Tractor restarted fine, ran for a while then did the same thing. It will sit and idle fine when parked. Any ideas what I should check or adjust?

It is a fuel delivery problem. Put a can under the carb and open the drain (if it has one) or pull the line from the inlet and check the flow. It should be steady and about the size of a sucker stick. It should flow for at least a minute or two like that. There is a screen at the inlet, in the sediment bowl, and possible flakes in the tank inlet. JimN

I wouldn't rule out the coil. When it quits, put your hand on the coil. If it's really hot, replace it.

Make sure it has a good clean flow of gas from the tank to the carburetor and make sure it has a good blue spark to the plugs from the mag/distributor.
