Super A cooling system ?

While starting a fresh Super A motor I get no temp indicated, the top hose is hot and the bottom hose is cold. The radiator is hot at the top and gradually goes to cold at the bottom. This engine has no water pump, natural circulation. Any ideas? Thanks for any help. PK

Sounds like it's working like it should. If you have a temp gauge it was for duel fuel tractors with shutters.

Thanks for the reply Vern. As I was reading your reply I realized the Temp probe is in the lower end not the top end. Me thinks that is back wards! This machine has been apart for almost three years, looks like we forgot a few details. PK
