How much does TA delete decrease 706 value

A friend of mine is upgrading his 706D and is looking to sell. It has the 282, 200 hrs on an engine and pump overhaul; new front rubber; 65% rear rubber with new rims and tubes; paint is good and possibly original. The only major negative to the tractor is that it does not have a TA. How much does does TA delete detract from the value? Would I be foolish to offer $4k? Thanks for any advice.

A TA delete is better than a TA that is FUBARed

If you don't need a lot of gears go for it.

Around here most people would give more for one without a TA. That way you know you'll never have to replace it. Lee

If it's as good as it sounds, it'd be a steal at $4000. He probably put $4000 into the engine alone if he did it himself.
