1974 Farmall 140 Need advice on carburetor

I've rebuilt my carb, and it wasn't succesful. I could see the top was warped when I reassembled it and now the idle mixture screw isn't metering correctly. I can turn it all the way in and the tractor keeps running. Time to replace it. It must have an internal leak. Are those replacement carbs you see new on ebay from some of the tractor supply guys a good quality? I see some of the replacement carbs have an extra screw on top to prevent the warping that mine had. I don't want to end up with something made in china.

You can get a replacement carburetor right here on YT, and yes, they are good carbs. There are some reputable sellers on ebay, but there are also some rip-off artists. If you don't find what you need here, send me an email.

Rusty Farmall,
Thanks, I don't know why I didn't think of this site for a carb. I've had good luck with everything else I've ordered here..

Randy, take your idle screw out, put some carb solvent in the hole add to it for couple days. Blow compressed air into hole. Try it now. Has worked for me but I am not looking at your carb. You might see something I don't.

Try cleaning it first, it is cheap and might save you some hassle, if not I would try to avoid ebay, go with a reputable seller like Ytmag.com or through RustyFarmall
