is there a way you can rebuild a broken up steering wheel that has pieces missing, i was thinking molding some kind of fiber glass resin, but that wouldnt look like original

I've used plain old Bondo to fix small broken off parts of steering wheel coverings, a little sanding and a shot of paint and they look like new.

You can also buy new steering wheels fairly cheap, so if it's real bad, it may not be worth the effort.
