IH 240 Tachometer

I am looking for a tach for a 240 utility tractor; a tach identical to the later Ford 8N was on it when I bought it...Does anyone know if that would have been the correct tach?

Click the link to CaseIH online catalog. Search for parts on lower right. Enter 240. The tach shows up under Attachments. 376. Lists two. Farmall and International I suppose.
