Like all Farmall 806 shifter linkage mine is nowhere"s near new and has been adjusted several times. Is there any place to get new parts other then the Case/IH dealer. I also heard that there may have been an upgrade years age to replace the numerous pivot points in the original design.

There's a guy in Neb. that can fix loose shifters. You can reach him at 1800-808-7885. I fixed my 14 and he was very helpful. Thanks

There is nothing to it to fix one , start at the top and see what all is loose and wrok your way on down. The main reason that they get wore is that people do not keep the clutch , dump valve and trans brake in adjustment Then they start to get hard to shift and people start tuggen harder on the shifter and slaming them . I have lost count of all the 706 -806 shifters that i have fixed and when done they will shift with two fingers . And adjusting them does not help as i am guessing that you are having trouble finding rev. and all the adjusting in the world ain't going to help. May need a couple new as i call them cub cadet tie rod ends a couple new headed pins a new rev. shifter shaft down inside the range trans. maybe a new fork for rev. and maybe just maybe a new top cover , myself i have never bought a top cover as i have it rebushed and install a new shifter arm Then do the adjustment on the clutch linkage .
