F14 camshaft

replaced the cam bushings on my F14. the cam fits very tight on the center bushing. had to tap it into place. does not spin very free by hand. should i hone the bushing a little, or anyone have a better idea?

Did you mic them? MAy want to check the clearance on them. I assume you lubed them up with pre-lube. Not sure if the 14 is the same as the 20 but there are keeper screws on the back of the block on the 20. Sounds dumb but I made that mistake. Make sure they are all the way out.

If you take the cam back out an inspect the bearing you will probably find a shiny spot. Just carefully scrape a little off that spot. Should only take a couple of thousands to get it to turn freely.
